Hailing from the Appalachian foothills of North Carolina, Tyler Nail is a dynamic folk musician and compelling storyteller. Since 2008, Nail has built a reputation for his intimate live shows and songs that explore themes of family, personal journeys, and human connection. His two-part album, Family (2025), dives into the lore of his lineage, blending nostalgic hometown sensibilities with captivating but simple tales of his family and ancestry. A recent Rhode Island transplant since 2024, Tyler was nominated for "Favorite Americana Act" and "Favorite Singer-Songwriter" at the 2025 RI Motif Awards. He has opened for notable artists like Jim Avett (father of The Avett Brothers), Grammy winner Jim Lauderdale, renowned NC acts American Aquarium and The Hackensaw Boys, and was a featured artist at Connecticut's Black Bear Americana Fest 2025 alongside headliners Howie Day and Shawn Mullins.
