The Dream Away Reading Series, 6:30pm

The Dream Away Reading Series is a new literary reading series dedicated to hosting some of the most exciting literary voices in Western Massachusetts and beyond. The series is co-hosted by Kate Senecal, a novelist, editor/instructor, and former fiction editor at Storychord.com, and novelist Rachel Lyon, who also co-founded the Brooklyn, NY reading series Ditmas Lit. The Dream Away Reading Series hosts three emerging and established writers at 6:30 PM every third Saturday, at the legendary Berkshires landmark the Dream Away Lodge.

About the Hosts
Andrew Leland is the author of The Country of the Blind: A Memoir at the End of Sight. His writing has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, McSweeney’s Quarterly, and The San Francisco Chronicle,among other outlets. From 2013-2019, he hosted and produced The Organist, an arts and culture podcast, for KCRW; he has also produced pieces for Radiolab and 99 Percent Invisible. He has been an editor at The Believer since 2003. He lives in western Massachusetts with his wife and son.
Anna Hogeland is a psychotherapist in private practice, with an MSW from Smith College School for Social Work and an MFA from UC Irvine. Her essays have appeared in Literary Hub, Big Issue, iNews, Gloss Magazine,and elsewhere. Her first novel, The Long Answer, has been translated into seven languages. She lives in western Massachusetts.
Rachel Hinkel-Wang earned an MFA in fiction from UMass Amherst where she won the Deborah Slosberg Memorial Award for Poetry and the Delaney Fellowship in Fiction. She has published stories with McSweeney’sand Burrow Press. She lives in Ashfield with her family.
