MOON RADIO is a brand new project from the collaborative mind of Julia Haltigan & Yusuke Yamamoto. Featuring Julia’s floating vocals and Yusuke’s dreamy electric vibraphone and moody vintage synths, their sound is something between Sterolab, Cal Tjader + Air with a twist of exotica. Adding nostalgia to futurism, their music transcends dystopian times and leaves the audience feeling euphoric. 

Julia’s extensive career includes 6 solo records, a role in upcoming film by Alonso Ruizpalacios starring Rooney Mara and an ongoing role in the off broadway immersive hit Sleep No More. Yusuke, originally from Hyogo Japan has released several records under the name Channel U and Golden Monkey’s. He’s performed as a part of the Broadway hit FELA!, Blue Man Group and Sleep No More.

The Smoota Tête-a-Tête is a groovy and intimate exotica jazz group featuring trombone, bass clarinet, vibraphone, bass and percussion. Moody and melodic, the band sets the perfect atmosphere for an underground cocktail bar on the dark side of Venus. The band is led by trombonist and composer Dave ’Smoota’ Smith, known from his work with TV On The Radio, Run The Jewels, Aaron Neville, Steven Tyler, Valerie June, Burnt Sugar, and Rev. Vince Anderson & The Love Choir.
